Redeem is the easiest platform to help you account for your environmental damage. The Chrome extension and app upmarks prices based on the carbon footprint of the product's shipping, and the dashboard helps to track and manage these donations. Give it a try today!
Redeem works smoothlessly between three different platforms to provide a cohesive experience.
The Chrome extension does all the background work. When you visit any supported online retailer, the Redeem extension will upmark all prices automatically and consistenly by the carbon emission required to ship it to you. This information is easily available to you as you shop.
Clicking the extension allows you to view your donation balance, statistics of how much you have helped the environment, and provides one-click access to your dashboard and the donations page of your chosen charity.
Of course, not all of your purchases are made online. However, you might still want to compensate for their emissions. This is where the app comes in. All you need to do is take a picture of the tag of most clothing and packaged products, and we will relay how much you need to donate to compensate for its shipping. You can then add it to your updating donation balance.
The app also allows for social features. You can add friends, and compare your progress against theirs.
The online dashboard is the hub for your settings. This is the place to go to change your chosen charity, view more detailed statistics, and manage your account. Here, you can read about other great verified Canadian environmental organizations to donate to. You can also change your address for our upmarking calculations if needed.
A ledger of all your past purchases and their corresponding donations are available here. This includes a measure of whether your shipping practices are improving over time.

Shipping contributes millions of tons of carbon emissions and waste across the Earth each year. Online shipping, which has dramatically risen in popularity since the beginning of the pandemic, has amplified the negative environmental consequences of shipping. With the threats of climate change coming fast, it is important to do our small part in accounting for our emissions, especially if we have the means to. Redeem is an easy-to-use platform that allows for you to give back to Mother Earth.
We know how hard it is to remember to donate. It is often cumbersome to visit websites, find a trustworthy organization, and determine exactly how much you should give. Redeem automates that process. After a simple five-minute setup, which involves setting a chosen environmental charity from our list of trusted Canadian organizations, donating becomes an easy one-click process. By upmarking the price of products, you make purchases with the donation-accounted total in mind, making your purchases environmental-sustainable and guilt-free. Redeem makes it easier than ever to do your fair share.
We use map data and knowledge of common shipping routes to create an accurate estimate of exactly how far your product has travelled to get to you. Based on rigorous scientifc data of emissions from various means of shipping transport, we can determine the consequential carbon footprint of shipping your purchase. This carbon footprint is inputted into a mathematical formula that outputs the appropriate price upmark.
Your user information, donations, and purchase log and completely confidential. We do not store your credit inforamtion, we simply faciliate an easier means of you donating. The donations still occur through the respective charity's platform.
Going into the future, we plan to work with local environmental charities to set up direct payment plans using Stripe. This will turn giving from a one-step to a zero-step process. We plan to add more environmental organizations, especially on a global scale. We are pending approval for Redeem on the Chrome Store, App Store, and Play Store.
